How is ballshed's Ai 'ethically sourced'?
When I say something about 'unethical Ai usage' it can mean several things:
1. Financially supporting corrupt Ai companies
2. Providing training data for corrupt Ai companies
3. Using Ai hosted on environmentally unsafe servers
4. Acting as a 'user' within a corrupt Ai company's usage statistics (this, in turn, gets them more funding from investors. Even if you are using something like the ChatGPT free tier, you are supporting the Ai industry by helping them get more investors by inflating their active user count)Here is how all of these are mitigated:
1. The ballshed Ai is hosted on my own infrastructure
2. Ditto #1
3. Servers are run on a power efficient laptop that does not get very hot whatsoever within a well built up electrical grid. Power usage is highly monitored but, for example, the Minecraft server takes significantly more.
4. No ballshed Ai features send any telemetry to any Ai companies. This removes their ability to even know ai.ballshed.net exists, much less track active users.
